LoRaWAN Zone Leak Detection Sensor

Description

The Sense It Water Leak Detection Sensor provides continuous monitoring for unwanted water leaks and flooding in critical areas. Using a highly sensitive leak detection cable, it identifies the presence of water anywhere along the sensing cable, enabling rapid detection before small leaks become expensive incidents.

The sensor is ideal for server rooms, data centres, electrical switch rooms, pump stations, cold stores, refrigeration plant rooms, warehouses, commercial buildings, hospitals, laboratories and industrial facilities. It can also be installed around pipes, valves, water tanks, air conditioning systems and other equipment where leaks may occur.

Unlike traditional point leak sensors, the leak detection cable continuously monitors its entire length, allowing a single sensor to protect larger areas or follow the route of pipework and equipment. This provides greater coverage while reducing the number of sensors required for large installations.

When connected to the Sense It monitoring platform, users can remotely view leak status, receive immediate notifications when water is detected and access historical event records. Alerts can be delivered via WhatsApp, email, Telegram or in-app notifications, allowing maintenance teams to respond quickly before significant damage occurs.

The battery-powered design enables installation without nearby mains power, making the sensor suitable for both new installations and retrofit projects. Its compact enclosure, long battery life and low maintenance requirements provide a reliable solution for protecting valuable assets and minimising downtime caused by water ingress.
